PRESS RELEASE: Embracing a New Adventure

Dear Women’s Wilderness Community,

We are thrilled to welcome Kriste Peoples as our Executive Director!

Kriste brings a wealth of organizational knowledge, passion for our mission, and strong vision for the organization. She has been volunteering and working in many roles at Women’s Wilderness for over 7 years: co-founding and growing the Trailblazers program, instructing on Girls Lead for Life and in the field, and leading from the office as the Assistant Executive Director.

Kriste is a self-described writer, outdoorist, speaker, producer, and leader who has been active for many years in raising awareness around issues of equity and inclusion in nature and empowering women in the outdoors. Kriste lives our mission daily, helping women, girls and non-binary folks find community and power in the outdoors through her work inside and outside the organization.

We couldn’t be more excited and enthusiastic to welcome Kriste into her new role as she leads Women’s Wilderness into its next chapter.

Check out our blog post to learn more, and please share the news!
